Privacy & your connections

What the pilot does

Mise guides account setup in WhatsApp. You can connect Google, confirm the selected account, and check a small sample of recent inbox headers. The Gusto connection currently checks which business was connected. Email sending, payroll submission, purchases, and financial transactions are not enabled.

Information we collect

We keep your WhatsApp number, opt-in and confirmation records, assigned assistant, delivery status, and information you share in the conversation, such as your name and business. Conversation history and account-setup progress may be kept by the agent so it can continue helping you.

If you connect Google, we receive your verified Google email address, account identifier, optional Workspace domain, and authorization tokens. After confirmation in WhatsApp, each Gmail check reads up to three inbox messages. The check retrieves From, To, Subject, and Date headers, message and thread identifiers, dates and labels, and mailbox profile information such as the account address and message counts.

New Google connections request read-only access to Gmail metadata, including email headers and labels. Earlier pilot connections may retain the broader read-only Gmail permission until you disconnect and reconnect. The pilot's implemented tools do not retrieve message bodies or attachments, change or delete messages, or send email. Mise never asks for your Google password.

How the information is used and shared

We use this information to confirm account ownership, maintain the connection you requested, return the inbox check in your WhatsApp conversation, keep setup progress, and investigate delivery or connection problems.

The pilot runs through Sites hosting and database infrastructure, including Cloudflare, and a dedicated OpenClaw agent on the operator's Mac mini. OpenAI processes the conversation and tool results to generate the assistant's responses. This includes the Google account address and email headers returned by the check. WhatsApp delivers the conversation; email information included in the assistant's reply becomes part of that conversation. Google and Gusto process their respective sign-in and account requests.

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train or improve general-purpose AI models. Human access to Google data is limited to your explicit permission for specific messages or support, necessary security investigations, legal requirements, or other access permitted by Google's Limited Use requirements.

Mise's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Storage and retention

Connection tokens are encrypted before being stored in Mise's database. Email headers returned to the agent may remain in its conversation records and in your WhatsApp history. The pilot does not yet automatically expire all account, conversation, or diagnostic records; request deletion using the contact above. Service providers may retain records under their own applicable policies and account settings.

Disconnecting, stopping, and deleting

Ask Mise to disconnect Google to stop local access and remove its stored connection credentials. Mise also attempts to revoke access with Google. If Google cannot be reached, the assistant will tell you to remove Mise in your Google account's third-party connections.

Reply STOP to stop the pilot conversation and further account use through it. STOP does not delete existing records or revoke provider permissions. Disconnecting Gusto removes local credentials; remove Mise from Gusto's connected apps to revoke access there too.

To request deletion of your Mise account, conversation records, or Google-derived data held by Mise, email daiji@chefdaiji.com with your registered WhatsApp number and connected email address. Do not send passwords or access tokens. We may confirm the request through your registered WhatsApp conversation. Deletion requests are handled manually during the pilot; disconnecting alone does not erase prior messages or third-party records, including copies in your own WhatsApp account.

Changes

We will update this page when data practices change. Adding a new account connection or broader Google access requires the relevant authorization before those features are used.
